Our team brings decades of experience across speech, language, literacy, fluency, early intervention and neurodiversity.

Kat Waugh

Kat is the owner and Principal Speech Pathologist of Bubbles Speech Pathology, as well as a busy mum of four. She has more than 20 years of experience providing communication assessments and therapy for children in Perth, Trinidad & Tobago and the United Kingdom.

Her experience spans Child Development Centres, schools, the Disability Services Commission and hospital settings, both internationally and locally. Kat particularly enjoys working with young children and their families during the important years before school and in the early school years, with a clinical interest in neurodiversity, developmental delay and late talkers.

Kat is a trained Hanen therapist in It Takes Two to Talk and More Than Words, and has training in stuttering including the Lidcombe Program for young children who stutter. She is also PROMPT trained at Introductory Level and DIR/Floortime trained.

Feline van Brakel

Feline is a certified PROMPT therapist and one of only six certified PROMPT speech pathologists in Australia. She brings extensive experience supporting children with motor speech difficulties and more than 16 years of practice across speech and language, early intervention and school-aged services.

With a Dutch background, Feline also brings valuable experience in bilingual considerations when supporting children and families. She is trained in the Lidcombe Program for Early Intervention of Stuttering.

Jasmine Martin

Jasmine has broad experience across a range of clinical settings and countries, including work in the Caribbean. She is PROMPT trained at Bridging Level, an advanced Lidcombe Program therapist, and has completed Hanen training in It Takes Two to Talk and More Than Words, along with Sounds-Write and DIR/Floortime 101.

Jasmine has a keen clinical interest in Developmental Language Delay and enjoys supporting children and families with practical, meaningful communication goals. Outside the clinic, she returns to a busy family life with three children.

Jemma Barion

Jemma joined the Bubbles Speech Pathology team in 2022, bringing 20 years of experience working with children. She particularly enjoys supporting children under 10 years of age and has extensive experience in school-age language and speech sound disorders.

Jemma is also a busy mum of three young children, including twins, and brings a practical understanding of family life to the therapy process.

Jeni Brennan

Jeni is a dedicated Speech Pathologist who is passionate about helping children and families achieve positive communication outcomes. As a mother of three, including a child who experienced motor speech difficulties, she brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to her work.

Jeni has experience supporting children in mainstream schools, language development centres and private practice. She particularly enjoys working with children with Developmental Language Disorder, speech sound disorders, literacy challenges and autism.

Jeni is trained in Sounds-Write, Talk for Writing and PROMPT at Introductory Level, and is an accredited Level 2 PACT practitioner.

Tania Rodwell

Tania is a Speech Pathologist and mother of three boys with more than 20 years of experience across government, private and not-for-profit sectors. She is the founder and former Director of the early intervention clinic Little Language Centre and has also worked as a Special Education Consultant in Catholic Education, a school-based Speech Pathologist and an Autism Diagnostician.

More recently, Tania has contributed as a Board Member and Project Manager for the TOBY early intervention app at Autism West. She has specialist training in Sounds-Write and is PROMPT trained at Introductory Level.

Tania is passionate about making speech pathology practical, functional and fun for children and families.

Jess Cayoun

Jess brings more than 20 years of experience specialising in language, communication and play development for children and young people aged 0–16. She has held senior positions across private practice, government health departments and education departments.

Jess is available for the speech and language component of autism diagnostic assessments, Developmental Language Disorder diagnostic assessments and Language Development Centre referral applications, as well as regular Friday therapy sessions.

Michelle Metaxas

Michelle brings more than 20 years of experience across public and private settings, supporting children from birth through to 10 years of age. She has particular expertise and interest in speech sound disorders, language delay, feeding and stuttering difficulties.

Michelle is also a busy mum of two young children and brings a warm, practical approach to working with families.

Lee-Anne Bell

Lee-Anne brings more than 10 years of experience to the Bubbles Speech Pathology team. She has provided both clinic-based and outreach speech pathology services in a major regional centre and has worked as a senior clinician in the NHS in London.

She enjoys supporting speech and language development across the early years and with school-aged clients. Lee-Anne is also a busy mum of two young girls.

Ellie Kelder

Ellie brings more than 15 years of experience as a Speech Pathologist across a broad general paediatric caseload. She has a strong clinical interest in stuttering and fluency differences, supporting children with both early intervention and persistent stuttering.

Ellie is trained in the Lidcombe Program, RESTART-DCM, the CARE Model and speech restructuring techniques. She has also undertaken additional training in affirming practices for paediatric stuttering and minimising bullying for children who stutter.

She is passionate about celebrating verbal diversity, increasing stuttering education and tailoring therapy to each child’s strengths, needs and supports.

Elaine Schnieker

Elaine is a Speech Pathologist with 15 years of experience across clinical and research settings. She is also a busy mum of two, giving her a practical understanding of the demands of family life.

Elaine is certified in Hanen It Takes Two to Talk, Sounds-Write, Lidcombe Intervention and the ADOS-2 autism assessment speech and language component. She has specialist skills in linguistic analysis of conversation and has published and presented her work at national and international conferences.

Elaine has a clinical interest in Developmental Language Disorder, early literacy from Kindy to Year 3, and neurodiversity including autism, ADHD and dyslexia. She is passionate about meaningful, family-focused therapy.

Sandra Gerbaz

Sandra brings more than 20 years of clinical experience across child development centres, schools and private practice. She has advanced experience in the management of school-aged speech and language needs, with particular experience supporting children from approximately 3 to 8 years of age.

Sandra is PROMPT trained at Bridging Level and has completed Hanen training in It Takes Two to Talk and ABC and Beyond, along with Sounds-Write training.
